Ah, Rich Franklin. He is the Brett Favre of the UFC. Not in the sense that he is constantly retiring, but more in the sense that he is beloved by middle America. This is the guy who does his countdown interviews in the bed of his pick up truck. What’s more American than pick up trucks? Throw a pair of Wrangler jeans on him and even John Madden might confuse him for Favre.

Franklin’s had the ‘American Fighter” moniker for quite some time now, and he has taken it with him across several sponsors. For his last fight, where he was knocked out by Vitor Belfort, he wore an American Fighter inspired Silverstar shirt. This time, it is TapouT, which already has several American flag inspired items.

Also, it has the G.I. Joe font for all the writing. I know, you’re sold.

Was anyone else as surprised at Gegard Mousasi’s gameplan as I was? I thought for sure he would come in with a fantastic sprawl and want to kick box against King Mo. Instead, he seemed determined to muster some kind of offense off of his back. Unable to do so, he lost a unanimous decision, and his title.

The shirt is simple, but damn cool. The graphic of the eagle is pretty awesome, and the back has Mousasi and the TapouT logo. In other news, this is Gegard’s third shirt. I think he has the most this side of GSP.

Is anyone else shocked by the fact that Dana let this ad air during his broadcast?

This ad features: Rampage Jackson, Thiago Alves, Dan Henderson, Houston Alexander, Keith Jardine, Dan Hardy, Jake Shields, Ryan Bader, Roy Nelson, Frank Shamrock, Kendall Grove, Kimbo Slice, Marcus Jones, and the TapouT guys.

Five of the thirteen fighters that I could clearly see in the commercial are not signed to the UFC. I’m shocked that this even aired during The Ultimate Fighter.

The Iceman will make his long awaited return to the cage at UFC 115, after coaching against long time rival Tito Ortiz on this season of The Ultimate Fighter. Liddell hasn’t been in the cage since his loss to Shogun at UFC 97.

Dong Hyun Kim is not the first name that jumps to mind when you talk about the UFC, but he is a perfect capable member of the UFC”s welterweight division. In these pictures, it’s confirmed that “The Stun Gun” will make an appearance in UFC 2010: Undisputed. Thanks to MMA Mania for posting the pics.

This is a weird card coming up tonight from a walkout shirt perspective. I don’t know if it’s because it is a free card, or just because there is so much action over the next couple of weeks that the clothing companies can’t keep up, but there are very few NEW shirts for tonight’s card. Instead, we are getting a lot of repeats.

Not that it’s a bad thing, some of the these repeats are some of my favorite shirts.
