Jens Pulver "Driven" Documentary Trailer

Documentaries have become the cool thing to do in MMA. Recently, we saw the Legalize MMA documentary go live, and now we get to see on WEC featherweight Jens Pulver.

He is a legend of the sport, but is coming off four – count ‘em – four consecutive losses. He’s likely got one more shot to get a win the WEC’s ultra competitive 145 lbs division before Reed Harris has to do something about it. Take a look inside the live a fighter who is fighting for his livelihood in the trailer for “Driven.”

Marc Ecko Helps The Cause…

It’s 2010! That means a bunch of things. First, it means that we get to argue about what to call this freakin’ year. I’m a fan of Twenty-ten. Not enough time in the day to waste on unnecessary syllables.

More importantly, it means that New York State Senate goes back into session soon. That means that pretty soon, we’ll be free to full mount and superman punch people all we want when the state finally decides to legalize MMA. It is coming. Don’t fight it.

But since it’s not done yet, we can use all the help we can get. That’s why clothing magnate Marc Ecko has put together a little documentary. It has some great sources it in, including one of our personal favorite MMA reporters, Ariel Helwani. Miguel Torres in there too, and he has an awesome mullet.

The full thing comes out on Friday. Until then, enjoy the trailer.

A Documentary about GSP? Where Do I Lineup?

I’ve been busy in my morning class today, huh? Last few days. Trying to kill myself.

Anyway, while searching the inter-web, I found this video from The Fight Network, which puts up some nice videos of interviews with fighters and the such. Really underrated.

It’s the director of The Striking Truth, which is a documentary about UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, and former UFC middleweight David Loiseau. Check it out.

Ladies and Gents, I think we finally found a reason to love Canada.

NBA

Save Our Sonics!

As you probably know Seattle once had a proud basketball tradition. Being born in ‘85 the era of Sonic basketball with Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton is definitely a part of my childhood. Of course now there is no basketball team in Seattle the Sonics have become the Oklahoma City Thunder or as Bill Simmons likes to call them “the Zombie Sonics.”

The people at Sonicsgate.org have come out with a remarkable two hour documentary explaining the political and personal motives behind the Sonics move.  It’s a must watch for any NBA fan or even a fan of sports in general.

For a taste of the documentary here’s the trailer:
