Canseco Wants To Fight Walker…

Here we go again with Sports’ best self-promoter, Jose Canseco. Here is what he said on his Twitter earlier today:

So, Let’s see here. Both of these guys have one fight of MMA experience. Canseco lost to “The Techno-Goliath” Hong Man Choi. Canseco spent the fight throwing taekwondo style kicks that don’t work in an MMA ring. Walker got a victory over Greg Nagy, who admittedly is barely a fighter. However, Walker spent three months training at the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, which is up there on my top gyms in the world list. He earned their respect, and gained valuable knowledge which he used to win the fight.

This fight likely won’t happen, as there is no way that any state would license this one. Canseco would be pummeled, and in serious danger against a far superior opponent.

Oh, So This Is How You Become A Bad Ass?

Not a whole lot going on today. Gonna break down the Nick Diaz fight at some point. Might do it during LOST later. Jason might stab me if I don’t pay 100% attention to the show though. We’ll see.

For now, let’s take a look at two of the best in the game training their wrestling as Nate Marquardt and Georges St. Pierre get their grappling on.

Tyson Griffin TapouT Signature Shirt

A few months ago, a debate was sparked regarding who was the most deserving contender for the lightweight title. There were three candidates: Tyson Griffin, Frankie Edgar, and Gray Maynard. All three had fights in December or early January. It was assumed that who ever was the most impressive would receive the shot.

Unfortunately, Griffin had to pull out of his fight with Jim Miller due to injury. We are waiting for confirmation for when he’ll back in the octagon, but hope he gets well soon.

Until then, support Tyson by buying his new TapouT Signature Shirt.

Has a very Silverstar look to it, doesn’t it? The back has the monogram of Griffin’s initials with the saying “Eye of an eagle, Heart of a Lion” on it.

MMA Warehouse has the hook-up for 35.99.
