I guess being traded for doesn't count. Was talking in terms of guys that come up from the farm system but I get the point.

Thanks for the compliments Mike

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the compliments. I already told Jason about both of these, but he never fixed it. Hey, Jason's all for spinning things to prove a point.

Fantastic post, great to hear about the younger guys few people know about, but on a side note, Brian Bruney and Jonathan Albaladejo are not home grown players.

Brian Bruney spent two years with Arizona before the Yankees picked him up after he was designated for assignment due to control issues.

Albaladejo threw 14 1/3 innings for the Nationals in 2007 before being traded for the acne-inflicted Tyler Clippard.

Still a fantastic post. I am most looking forward to seeing what Betances and Brackman do, considering, as you said, they are projects. As for Venditte, I think hes really interesting and really fun, but if the Yankees thought he was anything more than a future trivia question, they would not have waited so long to send him up to Tampa.

Jason, you forgot Pat Venditte.

With Charleston: 30.2 IP, 20 saves (28 appearances), 24 hits, 40 K's, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, .212 BAA

With Tampa: 3.0 IP, 1 hit, 5 K's, .100 BAA

By the way, he's a switch pitcher.
