Happy Birthday Tetris!

This post has absolutely nothing to do with anything about sports, but we have an off-topic section so why not use it right?

Happy 25th Birthday Tetris. I’m actually about a month late, and I didn’t get you a card. I love you and your blocky goodness just the same though.

That’s right. Everyone’s favorite game with shapes has turned 25. The game was orginally invented on June 6th, 1984 (My parents 9th wedding anniversary, weird) and Nintendo has been plugging new and improved versions ever since.

Thanks, Tetris, for hours of mind-numbing fun with geometry and russian music. Not to mention being a video game that girls can become obssessed with. Seriously, I know girls who can play tetris for days at a time.
