The Cowboys Demise…

As I sit here watching the pre-game for the Giants-Browns game, I can’t help but think about the opportuinity that they Giants have over the next four weeks. They have the chance to move three games ahead of the most dangerous team in their division. At least.
They play San Francisco next week and as much as Jason is looking over the ledge right now, he’ll try to convince himself that they can win. They shouldn’t. Then, The difficult part of the schedule comes up as they go the Pittsburgh and then play at home against Dallas. We’ll say for argument’s sake that the’ll lose to Pittsburgh. That would make them 2-1, and ultimately 6-1.
Over the same time, Dallas will be playing with Madden Hall of Famer Brad Johnson at quarterback. Seriously, simulate a season of Madden and when they induct five guys into the hall of fame at the end of the season, and the fifth one is always Brad Johnson. Anyway, The Cowboys play St.Louis next week, and we’ll call that a win. Then, They play Tampa Bay and the Giants. Without a downfield passing game (Romo), their second runner/explosive kick returner (Felix Jones) and their punter (Mat McBriar) would it be crazy to say that the Cowboys go 1-2? If Romo misses one week after the bye, they could go 1-3 as they play Washington. That would make them 5-4, and a virtual non-factor.
The Giants have a huge chance to take a commanding lead in the toughest division in football. They need to take advantadge.
