Minnesota Vikings: 11-5
Green Bay Packers: 10-6
Detroit Lions 6-10
Chicago Bears: 2-14
Notes and Predictions:
- Wow. Chicago is bad. The good news that they will pick first in year’s draft. They have no offense to speak of, but Matt Forte will prove to be a capable runner. The defense is overrated, as it’s three main cogs: Brian Urlacher, Mike Brown and Lance Briggs are all injury prone and surviving on name value.
- Minnesota is more than just a sexy pick to win the Super Bowl, they are a representation of the right way to build a football team. They build from the inside out, reinforcing the offensive an defensive lines before worrying about the quarterback position. Speaking of Quarterback, John David Booty is starting by the end of the season, and plays well enough to get this team into the playoffs.
- The Aaron Rodgers experiment goes well. Very Well. It also shows that they crazy amount of praise that Brett Favre has received is insane. This is a great team even without him, and everyone saying that Greg Jennings isn’t going to get the ball anymore because he was Favre’s favorite target is nuts. The defense is solid, if unspectacular.
-Ohhh…Detroit. Rod Marinelli is a good football coach, but they are being sabotaged continously by their players. Roy WIlliams wants to leave, Shaun Rodgers left, Jon Kitna is a freaking idiot. Another season of sideways movement puts Marinelli on the hot seat.
